How will you...
Spark Their Journey?
Ignite experiences that spark confidence, purpose, and growth.
It's the most impactful time of year!
At Hope Ignites (formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope), we believe the most powerful learning happens beyond four walls and out in the world ā where experiences spark confidence, purpose, and growth.
Beyond Beliefs
When Danielle, a Hope Ignites Northeastern Ohio Scholar, earned a scholarship to join a four-day river expedition through Open Roads Academy, she faced a fear that had followed her since childhood: she didnāt know how to swim. To document her accomplishment, Director and Hope Ignites Alum Shaq Quamae Hall filmed her courageous journey as she steps into the water for the first time and discovers that growth often begins where comfort ends.
In partnership with Open Roads, Beyond Beliefs has reached tens of thousands of viewers through national film festivals and public screenings, including Mountainfilm Festival. Shaq's work and Danielle's story celebrates the power of courage, community, and self-discovery ā values that lie at the heart of the Hope Ignites experience.
A New Adventure
In July, Residential Scholars embarked on a powerful cultural immersion experience in Guatemala, visiting another Hope Ignites Network affiliate, Esperanza Juvenil. Over the course of a week, Scholars forged cross-cultural friendships, deepened their global understanding, and returned home transformed by the power of this shared experience.
This trip marked more than just a visit - it was a journey of connection, empathy, and personal growth. They stepped out of their comfort zones, embraced new cultures, and returned with a renewed sense of purpose and perspective. Many even shared that theyāre already dreaming of a return. Watch our video to hear firsthand about the experience from the Scholars themselves.
Support a Journey: Give Today
Your generosity makes these transformative journeys possible. When you give today, you ensure more Scholars experience these life-changing opportunities, fueling a spark that helps them discover who they are and who they can become.
